About
Established in 2013, the Alaska Tribal Administrators Association (ATAA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to strengthening tribal governance across Alaska. We equip Tribal Administrators with training, resources, peer support, and affordable professional assistance through our Shared Services Department in accounting, program management, grant development, and interim administration. All Alaska Tribes, whether or not they are ATAA members, have open access to the information and best practices we share.
OUR MISSION
To develop a collaborative atmosphere of knowledge sharing and professional support among Alaska’s Tribal administrative professionals; and to promote effective tribal administration resulting in greater self-governance, community sustainability, and leadership.
GOVERNANCE
ATAA represents Tribal Administrators of Alaska tribal governments and is governed by its voting members who elect the organizations Board Directors - President, Secretary and Treasurer. The governing members also determine consensus decisions carried out by resolution.
SYMPOSIUM
Our Annual Symposium is held in early spring each year and provides Tribal Administrators and others with key topics and trainings to support a strong, healthy and sustainable tribal government and community. The symposium is open to all Tribes, regardless of membership.
