ATAA Annual Symposium

The Premier Gathering for Alaska Tribal Administrators

The ATAA Annual Symposium brings together Tribal Administrators, Tribal leaders, Tribal staff, and invited partners from across Alaska for focused learning and dialogue.

Topics include:

​

  • Tribal governance and administration

  • Federal and state funding programs

  • Financial management and compliance

  • Workforce and leadership challenges

  • Strategic planning and sustainability

 

Sessions are led by practitioners and experts with direct and deep experience supporting Tribal governments. The symposium is open to all Alaska Tribes. Membership is not required.

ATAA + ANVCA Joint Symposium

Aligning Governance and Community Development

In partnership with the Alaska Native Village Corporation Association, ATAA co hosts a joint symposium that reflects the shared reality of Alaska communities.

​

Tribal governments and village corporations serve different roles but support the same people. This symposium provides space for:

​

  • Dialogue between Tribal Administrators and village corporation leaders

  • Coordinated planning across governance and development

  • Discussion of how grant funding and capital capacity can work together

 

The joint symposium strengthens understanding and coordination while respecting distinct authorities
